Nikon 8700
Compatibility
The Nikon 8700 does not come with lens threads
required to mount common lens filters or our LE-Adapters.
The Nikon 8700 has identical connection
requirements as the Nikon 5700.
In order to use either our Standard LE-Adapter
with 37mm Coupling Ring (Item 11037) or 2Plus LE-Adapter (Item 11237) with the
Nikon 8700 additional lens mounts are required. The Nikon UR-E8 adapter is
required along with a 37mm NextPhoto NP0032 Thread Adapter.

now stock
both the Nikon UR-E8 and the NextPhoto Thread Adapter.
For applications that require our Standard
LE-Adapter you will need the following:
- Standard LE-Adapter with 37mm Coupling Ring Item
11037
- Nikon UR-E8 Converter Adapter and NextPhoto
Thread Adapter – Item 17837
For applications that require a larger eyepiece
attachment and our 2Plus LE-Adapter you will need the following:
- 2Plus/37mm LE-Adapter – Item 11237
- Nikon UR-E8 Converter Adapter and NextPhoto
Thread Adapter – Item 17837
Installation of these adapters is very simple.
First thread the UR-E8 into Nikon 8700 lens body. Then thread the NextPhoto
adapter onto the UR-E8 and lastly thread the LE-Adapter onto the NextPhoto
adapter.
Once connected many clients leave the three
adapters assembled and simply thread onto camera threads when needed.

For this camera we also recommend the Support
Bar Item 11200 for applications where there may be additional weight on the lens
housing.
